I’m waiting for my birthday

And I can’t wait any more

I’m counting down the days

But there just seems more and more

It’s so exciting mum, I’m busting for my day

Can’t the time go faster? Is there such a way?

 

Patience! Patience! Is what I hear you say

Let the future be the future

And enjoy yourself today!

The time will come soon enough, if we just allow

Yes, look towards your future

Yet embrace each moment now!

 

I’m waiting for the weekend

Sports on Saturday

When the game is over

My friend will come to play

It’s so exciting mum, I’m busting for my day

We’re waiting at the dentists

And yes they know we’re here

My mum, she not so patient

She keeps sighing in my ear!

Don’t you worry mum, we’ll see the dentist soon

Relax and take it easy, I will sing your song to you!
